The Element of Belief. One of the most elusive forces on the planet. Who ever harnesses the power of belief is like a bull charging full steam ahead impervious to the blows and obstacles that may be its own doom. Many speak of the idea of believability, one who’s conviction convinces others that he is the bull, the one who can lead them across the red sea.
the Bible is full of tales of mortal men who were charged with the ions of belief and their grand stories were so great that they even invoked believability with just the words that inked truth of their past existence even when read far in the future.
How does one wrap themselves in the cloak of believability? Is believability the blow back from believing in one’s own self or is it a Molecular Process of taking two unique forces and combining them into a powerful ionic bond of power?
In the film, The Book of Eli, a man named Eli holds the last Bible to survive the apocalyptic war that scorched the earth. He wraps himself in an undying faith and journeys across the no longer United States heading west. Along the way he finds that there are those who would kill to possess the great book of light. They believe that the power of the words in the Bible can manufacture believability and thus conviction to one cause that can bring civilization back into the hands of the bearer of God’s word.

The film, expertly crafted by the Hughes Brothers, takes its time to explore a great story and speeds up the action at the most poignant times. In the end, the film expresses that Believability isn’t something that is bought or sold or something that goes up in value when forced into decline. Believability is a rare event that occurs when an idea is worth dying for. A man who walks with more than just his blood and guts but a force of unexplained guile. What drives him? Could it be his ultimate conviction, angels pushing his heart to beat a few rates faster, or the raw power of God creating a super human who will not give up, who will not quit, no matter the cost, no matter the persecutions, no matter the stakes in his hands?
I guess believability all comes down to the gravity of an idea and the light forces that arrive to die for it. If you want to be believed, if you want to be blessed, than prepare to die for your idea.

It was an insane show and the lighting at the Backbooth didn’t help but with my powerful color correction tools i created a unique look. I thought they rocked and the high energy they have on stage helped the cause for a good live video. I know the Vanity Plan are doing good things and i hope this piece will push them to the next level. Much love to everyone who helped out and to the Vanity Plan for Believing in the Dark

Tune into the Archived Show blogtalkradio.com/zerodark
Tim Anderson, also known as, in dark circles as Tim Vein, is an official critic and the DVD Managing Editor of Bloody-Disgusting.com where the entire Horror film industry begs for their lives and good press. Tim is also in a Misfit’s cover band called Green Hell where he dons the persona of Tim Vein and scares the crap out of audience members. They have a show coming up at 57 west at the end of the month. On top of Tim’s disgustingly hectic schedule he is also a renowned film producer having just produced a film with Steven Shea, the director of Abyssmal Ent. and a Zero Dark Signal Alumni guest, entitled 2:22 which is sweeping the film festival circuit as i type. In addition Tim as just finished shooting a new television show that he co-hosts on Orange TV that showcases independent film. Tim will be coming on the show to wreak havoc and also to enchant us with all the goodies he has in store for Orlando this Halloween.
it was a great show with a climactic last three minutes!
Cheers,

Day # 8 of contest complete. Day 1 of shooting is tomorrow. Its 2:33 a.m. and i just finished a crash course on how to water color paint. i went from a kindergarten level at 5 o’clock to who the hell knows level by now but i think i got a cool beach painting to use in the video. This video is all about water colors and stuff and i am not quite sure where i’m going with it all but water colors always look cooool so i believe its gonna come out great.
We’re heading to Melbourne Beach to shoot a Painter paint a picture while looking at the Ocean. It might rain tomorrow so i’m nervous that the heavens will open up and piss on my parade so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. The first day is always nerve racking for a director but I’m fairly confident. I’ll keep you posted how day 1 goes!

Day # 7 of the contest.
Officially penned the treatment for the video and am thrilled that everyone dug it. Common’s contest only lasts two weeks so we had to come up with our ideas quick. Ryan Funk is amazing and has already put the crew together. i can’t release the official concept yet but it involves water and color. the song is super upbeat so i had to really get out of my dark world and find light hearted inspiration. Victoria Santiago has signed up to be our lead actress and we are currently pursuing our male lead. i met victoria while frequenting an Art House Coffee shop called Austin Coffee and Film and picked that spot randomly to meet Ryan Funk and there she was again I immediately realized she would be perfect for the role. I’m also looking to get the coffee shop and a location. Its crazy how creative coincidences work themselves out. Anyways starting week #2 tommorrow and its going to be intense. i gotta string together the creative and lock locations quick like!!!
